ACME

Chicago · 240 people

ACME's product gives warehouse staff access to the systems and areas they need, with a record of who approved each request.

Brakeline and Northgate already use it. Kelderby is preparing to go live; Halden Foods is evaluating it.

Company knowledge is spread across code in GitLab, tickets in Jira and pages in Confluence. Sales, Support, Security and Engineering need those sources to answer customers, plan rollouts and decide what to change.

ACME is fictional.

01 Halden · Sales, Security & Engineering

A promise needs more than an answer.

Halden's team asks whether its data can stay in the EU. The answer has a condition. That condition needs to survive planning, and stand up to what the build uncovers.

The same rollout, seen from two sides.

Brakeline's experience shapes a product change. Kelderby still has a date to meet.

02 Brakeline · A recurring customer problem

Two weekends.For every customer.

Brakeline's move to single sign-on took two weekends. Kelderby faces the same process, with eighteen more warehouses to follow. Tom asks his agent to investigate a better way, using both customer plans, the rollout checklist and the code.

  • Keep active sessions.

The agent compares approaches to implementation and checks the shared sign-in connection in the code. The chosen approach becomes two delivery slices, with the requirements and the remaining question ready for approval.

03 Kelderby · A launch already promised

The launch can't waitfor the roadmap.

Seven warehouses go live on 2 November. The new capability will not ship before the first cutover. Ana asks Tom what she can promise for the next eighteen; his answer reaches her Inbox and stays with the initiative.

A standing instruction from AnaEvery Friday: what’s left before launch?
  • Warehouses still to switch
  • Open product & rollout questions
  • New questions from the customer

Her agent lays out the rollout in a topic: dates, rehearsals, fallback and unresolved responsibilities. A scheduled agent task checks readiness each Friday, so the next review starts with what is still open.
